A Fine Pair of Identical 19th Century Chimneypieces, Reminiscent of Those at Chandos House After Robert Adam.

The tapering columns are fluted and inlaid with Verde Antico. They rest on socle bases and finely carved ionic capitals uphold corner blocks decorated with floral paterae. The fluted frieze is centred by a veneered Verde Antico central tablet boasting an exquisite overlaid statuary campana urn with hanging bell flowers and ram’s head handles.
