A Strong, Well Drawn Sienna and Statuary Marble Chimneypiece
A Georgian Siena and statuary marble chimneypiece with breakfront shelf, Siena frieze with plain white tablet and ogee corbel brackets surmounting the jambs, ex-collection Admiral Beatty (1871–1936), 1st Sea Lord and Commander in Chief of the British Grand Fleet, of Dogger Bank and Jutland battles fame. Removed from his London Mansion in Regents Park. Believed to have been installed in Lady Beatty's drawing room in their London home the 1920's.
