An Italian painted timber chimneypiece, the projecting shelf breaking over a curved central keystone tablet, carved with Rococo embellishments, flanked by a frieze and jambs designed with fielded panelling, with hanging foliage. With unrestored soft palette of painted surface and remnants of gilding.
