A pair of 19th century French Breche marble, Louis XVI style chimneypieces of typical Neoclassical form with clean lines and symmetrical carvings / decorations. The rectangular shelf breaking over the ends above the jambs, the frieze decorated in the centre with a sun flower head in a circular medallion flanked by inset panels, the end blockings with flowering acanthus. The jambs in the form of pilasters with flutes cable stops and terminating with scrolling brackets, the whole on foot blockings.
