A 19th century antique fireplace, probably William IV Breche Violette marble (a creamy white marble clouded with delicate tones of blue, greys and purples), with heavily moulded shelf, the freize of convex shape with deep vertical fluted mouldings. The jambs of bolection form, the opening with arched header, the whole raised on foot blocks.
