A Late 19th Century Feraghan Carpet

This soft design exhibits patterns of connecting flowers and vines, using a variety of early dyes, delicate pale blues and greens and muted red tones. Woven in the Ferahan region of West Central Persia , showing the distinctive 19th-century style that blends geometric influences from the surrounding tribes and villages with more refined, curvilinear design.
