Jamb works with two English limestones: Bath and Portland, each one exhibiting subtly different grain, texture, tone and figuration. Both respond well to the ageing techniques employed by Jamb’s masons in south London, whose work invests the stone with those marks of age that enable a Jamb fireplace to fit seamlessly into any environment.
