Our Story
Over the past 25 years, Jamb has earned its reputation as one of the world’s finest antique and reproduction houses offering fireplaces, lighting and furniture, all woven together by Will Fisher and Charlotte Freemantle’s shared love for the classical English Country House aesthetic.
Originally founded to keep a design alive once the prized antique was sold, Jamb has since developed vast collections of fireplaces, furniture and lighting inspired by pieces in the Jamb antique collection, from the perennially popular Dunshay chimneypiece to the iconic Grand Original Globe.
Jamb works with the finest suppliers around the world and each piece is hand-finished by a team of specialists at the company’s south London workshop. Patination and hand-finishing is a hallmark of the Jamb process, as are the bespoke elements offered, to ensures any Jamb reproduction piece will sit happily in any period or contemporary setting.
Antique fireplaces form the backbone of the business and Jamb houses the UK’s most extensive reclaimed antique fireplace collection from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries. Each fireplace surround is an important example of form, recalling the masterwork of Britain's finest architects such as Inigo Jones, William Kent, and John Nash.
Jamb’s vast antique collection represents the finest 18th- and 19th-century English and Irish country house furniture, sculpture and curiosities. Each piece is hand-picked by Will Fisher for its exceptional artistry, soul and provenance. Jamb’s meticulously curated inventory continues to supply leading international decorators, designers and collectors around the world.
Inside the flagship store on London’s Pimlico Road, and in showrooms across the United States, Jamb antiques and reproduction furniture, lighting and fireplaces sit together seamlessly encapsulating the English Country House aesthetic at the centre of the Jamb design ethos.
