Of versatile scale, this richly hued carpet combines swathes of bold apricot and sunburst with a busy design and intricate microscopic foliation. A large central medallion is enclosed within a border of vibrant orange and languid palmettes. The carpet evokes the palette of Frederic, Lord Leighton's 'Flaming June' (1895).
