One of a pair of Regency Blue Limestone Bullseye Chimneypieces
One of a pair of early 19th century chimneypieces carved entirely in Blue Limestone. The piece features a typically thin shelf over an architecturally carved frame. Deep bullseye corner blocks bookend a shallow carved reeded frieze, which has at its centre a tablet with a fielded panel softened through its concave chamfered corners. The more prominently reeded jambs finish in simple square footblocks.
