An 18th Century hand-coloured Print of Stoke Bishop in Maple Frame

An hand-coloured etching designed and engraved by Jan Kip (1652-1707), a Dutch artist who worked in London and specialised in views of English country houses. This bird's eye view depicts the country house at Stoke Bishop, near Bristol, with a walled gardens to the left and a forest to the right, the sea in background. It's plate n.52 from the second volume of 'Britannia Illustrata' published by Joseph Smith in 1724.
