An elegant Irish Georgian frame chimneypiece in a restrained design, carved from Bardiglio marble. The frame is incised with symmetrical fielded panels, centred by a tapering, vertically fluted keystone. A simple moulded shelf, an unusual feature for such a design, projects subtly. Softness is created by the gentle arched opening, yet the beautifully veined Bardiglio gives the piece a richness.
