A well drawn, 18th century, Louis XVI period, provincial French stone fireplace

An antique 18th century, French Louis XVI period, provincial stone fireplace. The simple rectangular moulded shelf above a frieze centred with a band of half-filled finger flutes. This is flanked by inset fielded panels terminating in end blocks carved with sunflower heads. The pilaster jambs are decorated with a band of tapering flutes above oblong fielded panels echoing those on the frieze.
