In conjunction with ‘London Design Week’ we have launched ‘The Pantry Collection’ - a new collection of furniture that continues Jamb’s love of the County house aesthetic. This time focusing on the ‘below stairs’ vernacular that I have always been inspired by - areas of the Country house that in my opinion are just as beautiful as any of the grander rooms.
Jamb Launches a New Furniture Collection During London Design Week.
20 September 2019
I feel that this collection reflects it beautifully and continues the Jamb tradition of re-creating classic design with exceptional quality. Some of the pieces are inspired by furniture that we have in our home in Camberwell. The pantry rack and plate rack in particular. The Pantry Rack is based on shelving from an English Country House larder, made in beech and painted to client specifications.
A wall mounted plate rack made from sustainably sourced teak, of generous proportions.
Each piece is inspired from an antique original we have owned in our antique collection and that I've chosen to reproduce in England because it is simply the most divine design. The Harewood table is crafted from Beech and is available to order in either a washed oak or Carrara marble top.
Each piece is hand crafted using the finest sustainable materials. The workman's stool is an English oak stool of wonderfully large proportions and solid construction.
The last addition that collates a total collection of five hand crafted pieces is a hand constructed cutlery tray in raw mahogany with brass handle and inlaid ebony corners, based on an 18th Century original.
The craftsmanship of each piece integrated with the original design fills me with total pleasure and I am thrilled I am able to continue adding to the Jamb reproduction collections.
