A French Antique Marble Chimneypiece.
A superb 19th Century Rococo white statuary marble chimneypiece with subtle grey veining. The serpentine frieze presents a scrolling acanthus cartouche, with a central foliate carving, and is mounted by a moulded shelf. Acanthus carvings adorn the corbel corners and flow down the scrolled, cabriole-shaped jambs which resting on canted footblocks.
