A beautifully balanced octagonal bell-shaped lantern, now made on a grand scale. The pierced quatrefoils in the upper fretwork speak to the Gothic tradition, while the pagoda roof and scrolled terminals are a nod to Chinese export style popular in England during the 18th and 19th centuries.
