Whitham

This X-frame chair is faithfully reproduced from a very rare early 18th century ‘forest chair’, taking elements such as the arm bow, stick support, and splat back from one of the earliest forms of the archetypal Windsor Chair. Originally intended as a chair for a veranda or covered outdoor setting, the piece is shown here in a sensitively reproduced and aged bone-white paint finish, intended to replicate the nuances of an original Georgian painted surface.
