A Large 19th Century Italian Marble Fountain

An austere form, with strict, classical motifs crisply delineated. Masks on each face of the cavetto base support a baluster stem clad in neatly carved acanthus leaves, the basin a gadrooned dish. The whole worn pleasantly.
