A spectacular piece, the black and gilt lacquer on the exterior of the cabinet dry and muted, but in excellent, untouched condition. The doors open to reveal breathtakingly bright lacquerwork of very high quality. Raised on a curious paw-footed base, with further lacquer decoration continuing on the entire piece.
The face of the doors features extensive architectural and figurative scenes, and borders of imperial dragon and pearl.
