Elegant cabriole legs support a shaped top, the whole decorated with red and gilt japanned depictions of a pagoda, figures, and mythical oriental beasts.
A similar card table, made by Giles Grendey for the Duke of Infantado's Palace of Lazcano in the Basque region of Spain is in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (object number 37.114).
