An Exceptional Pair of Regency Parcel Gilt and Faux Rosewood Daybeds, circa 1805

A remarkable pair of chaises, dry stripped to reveal original ebonised parcel gilding and green paws. Similar in manner and form to a design by George Smith, featured in his 1808 collection 'A Collection of Designs for Household Furniture and Interior Decoration' (Plate 65).
