A William IV Oak Gothic Revival Leather Sofa
£44,000
A finely carved oak-framed settee, with buttoned back, side, and squab cushions in a deep burgundy. The house itself was remodelled in the 1830s by Peter Frederick Robinson and later Benjamin Ferrey; it is likely that the latter, a close friend and follower of A.W.N.Pugin, produced designs for the extensive suite of Gothic revival furniture that was, until recently, housed at Bridehead.
