A George IV Mahogany Library Chair

A George IV Mahogany Library Chair

£6000

A particularly fine example of the form, the archetypal lyre-front decorated with floral paterae, acanthus leaf fringing, standing on gadrooned front legs and splayed back legs, on original brass castors. The chair apparently re-upholstered in Rexine, with original leather seat cushion, overall very worn condition, dry and untouched. The seat re-webbed to provide structural integrity.
