A Pair of George I Giltwood and Gilt Gesso Mirrors c.1725

A refined pair of pier glasses, or girandoles. The gilded cut gesso of great clarity and crispness, with restrained c-scrolls, feather cresting, and scallop shell at base, the shaped frame containing original bevelled plates. With later candle arms.
