£12500
In the manner of the craftsmen of India’s west coast, particularly Surat and Bombay, this mid 19th century cabinet is intricately decorated with Sadeli-work, marquetry of ebony and horn, coloured green, with pen-work borders. The doors, mirrored internally, open to reveal seven sandalwood pigeonholes. Raised on ebony bun feet.
