An impressive Georgian chimneypiece with a distinctive central Medusa roundel on a plain frieze, flanked by corner blocks with medallions depicting Roman portraits in relief. A wide moulded shelf rests on tapering pilaster jambs with fielded panels. These are adorned with a hanging garlands of carved foliage. The whole rests on rectangular, canted footblocks.
