An exceptional, highly carved 18th century Louis XVI chimneypiece in statuary white marble of generous proportions. The bowed frieze carved with running oak leaves bordered with delicately executed beading, centred by ribbons tied in bows. The angled corner blocks sit above console jambs carved with three stopped flutes filled with carved flowers.
