A near pair of Louis XVI style statuary marble chimneypieces, likely to have been carved in England in the French style.

Of unusually small scale but fine quality of manufacture. The frieze is carved with a central hanging swags of flowers held by ribbons, flanked by a stop fluted frieze and square floral corner blocks, above shallow console jambs with well carved acanthus embellishment and rope twist detail.
