A 19th century French Statuary marble chimneypiece.
A well-proportioned Louis XVI style chimneypiece, the frieze centred with an oval acanthus motif, flanked by fielded panels framed with an intricate beaded edge. The S scroll console jambs with acanthus decorated shoulders, the jambs embellished with a rope twist detail and surmounted by cornerblocks carved with floral rosettes.
