A Delicate George I Carved Pine Palladian Chimneypiece
A good antique 18th century, George I, carved and stripped pine Palladian fireplace surround with well carved Rococo style decoration. With a stepped and moulded shelf, the frieze with a well-carved rectangular central plaque allegorical of summer, which drops through the architrave and is decorated with a swag of flowers and raffle leaves, upheld at the ends by hooks hidden by open flower heads. English, circa 1755.
