An Unusual & Heavily Carved English, Louis XV Style Chimneypiece in White Marble

A good early 19th century, English, William IV, statuary marble fireplace in the French 18th century Louis XV style. The thick serpentine shelf and frieze is decorated with a large bunch of summer flowers carved in the English manner and style, the jambs with Rocaille work, C-scrolls and shell motifs copying the French taste. Circa 1830.
