A Louis XVI Chimneypiece in Rosso Antico Marble of Good Patinated Colour

A good 19th century Louis XVI style antique fireplace in Rosso Antico marble of good patinated colour, with a suffused mixture of mellow, smoky purples pinks greys and yellow hues all swirled together. The bowed frieze with inset panel carved with crossed swags of tied laurel branches, the end blockings with acanthus flower heads, above the canted jambs decorated with three wide open flutes. The whole raised on foot blocks.
