An 18th century Neoclassical style, white statuary marble fireplace mantel. The tiered moulded shelf breaking forward over the jambs, the frieze centered with a central tablet of a lidded tazza shaped urn, with draped entwined snake headed, looped handles, the sides panels fluted the end blockings decorated with lyres. The tapering pilaster jambs fluted and surmounted with Ionic capitals, the moulding around the opening plain, the whole resting on foot blocks.
