This magical garden chair is made from solid English Oak. The carefully sandblasted finish emphasises the fretwork construction of the back and highlights the grain of this truly British timber. This is adapted from the Garden bench design with the original example coming from Saltram House on the banks of the river Plym, Devon. Robert Adam remodelled the house during the 1760s and employed Thomas Chippendale to make much of the furniture.
