A late 19th century, Verde Antico and Statuary marble antique fireplace of an earlier mid-18th century design. Ex. Thimbleby Hall, Yorkshire, an 18th century house with later additions and renovations, probably removed in the 1920s when one floor of the house was pulled down. With stepped break fronted shelf above the Verde Antico frieze, centred with a Verde Antico tablet flanked by panels inlaid with in statuary with classical frets. The Verde Antico pilaster jambs with carved bunches of grapes in statuary surmounted by statuary ogee brackets on white marble foot blocks.
