An exceptionally fine and well-proportioned early 19th century, Regency, Siena and statuary marble chimneypiece. Circa 1810. The plain central tablet flanked by blank corner blockings above fluted pilaster jambs on Siena grounds. The severe architectural design serves to accentuate the exceptional quality of the darkly figured Convent Siena.
